About Us

Hatzoloh Antwerp VZW

Hatzoloh VZW is a volunteer organization  of highly trained emergency medical technicians which are dispatched to emergency situations as first responders, servicing the Antwerp area. These volunteers work together with local ambulance forces to administer life saving medical intervention until the local ambulance arrives at the scene. Each member is equipped with all first aid material including oxygen, AED, bandages, braces, and more. Since every second counts in many life and death situations each volunteer has a motor bike to arrive at the scene in record time.

Hatzoloh Antwerp is in existence over 20 years and belongs to a worldwide network of over 5,0000 volunteers in 50 different cities.

We have 20 active EMT’s responding to an average of 7 emergencies a day. The past two years have been a difficult one for many and Hatzoloh has set up a COVID response unit, who followed up with COVID patients 3 times a day, and was in constant contact with families, doctors and hospitals to ensure patients received the necessary care.
